Irene T. Stopherd, 62, of Londonderry, NH died Thursday January 22, 2009 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH. Mrs. Stopherd was born in Botti, Italy on October 2, 1946, daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Burdziak) Nowik. She had been a resident of Londonderry since 1972, formerly living in Clifton, NJ. Mrs. Stopherd had been employed in several capacities for the Town of Londonderry School System. She enjoyed playing solitaire and traveling to the Carribean.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Jim Stopherd of Londonderry, one son, Geoffrey Stopherd and his wife Kerry of Maine, one daughter, Rebecca Gregoire and her husband Jesse of Londonderry, and two grandchildren, Zack Stopherd and Kathryn Gregoire.
Calling hours were held on Thursday January 29, 2009 from 3 – 5pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A funeral service was held at 4:30pm during calling hours, with cremation following.
