Salem: Dolores A. ‘Doris’ (Sicotte) Guerrette passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the Grosvenor Park Nursing Home in Salem at the age of 96.
Dolores was born in Salem, the daughter of the late Louis and Melina Sicotte. She married Albert J. Guerrette in 1935 and had a loving marriage until his death in 1982.
Dolores worked as a young woman at Parker Brothers. After raising her family, she then worked for the Arnold Printing Co. in Salem. She got a great deal of satisfaction working with her fellow employees.
Most important to Dolores was her family. She loved listening to stories of their friends and their adventures. She always had time for them.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Attorneys Carol and William DiMento of Swampscott and Naples, FL, a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Linda Guerrette of Danvers, her grandsons, Graig and Erik Guerrette of Danvers, a sister-in-law, Marie Gormalley of Peabody and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves many friends, especially those at Vantage Pointe in Swampscott and Tannery II Apartments in Peabody and her loving caregivers at the Grosvenor Park Nursing Home, all of whom brought joy, care and comfort during her later years. Dolores’ love and compassion will be greatly missed by her family.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Hector, Armand and Raymond Sicotte and her sister Lauretta Boucher.
