Obituary

Raymond F. Lundberg, Sr., 80, a life long resident of Salem, NH, died Thursday at his home in Salem after a long illness. He was the son of the late Irving Wadworth & Myrtie Mabel (Wilson) Lundberg.

Ray was a retired heavy equipment operator for the Town of Salem, NH. He and his wife owned and operated R. Lundberg & Sons Septic Service before transferring the business to his sons. Ray was an antique car enthusiast who owned and restored many antique cars winning many first place trophies in car shows. He was a member of the Antique Auto Club of America, the Veteran Motor Car Club of America, the Horseless Carriage Club of America and the Granite State Antique Auto Club. Ray had a 1924 Rickenbacker Touring Car that was in the movie “The Great Gatsby”. Ray co-owned a stock car in the early 1960s, driven by Ollie Silva. He also enjoyed coin collecting.

He was predeceased by his brothers Kenneth & Theron Lundberg and his sister Florence Kezer.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Claire Yvonne (Bourdelais) Lundberg

Sister: Evelyn & her husband Rodney Kezer of Salem, NH

7 Grandchildren: Nicole Yvonne Lundberg, Robin Lynn Lundberg, Jolene Marie Lundberg, Raymond Franklin Lundberg, III, Trevor Matthew Lundberg, Shawn Michael Barnes& his wife Rana, Brooke Krystal & her husband David McGibbon.

2 Great Granddaughters: Kelsey Elizabeth McGibbon & Maryam Makayla Barnes

Calling hours are Sun. Jan. 25th from 1-5 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH. Funeral services are Mon. Jan. 26th at 11 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
