NAPLES, FL - Helen (Rakoc) Henry, of Peabody, died Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at the Avow Hospice in Naples, Florida, following a brief illness surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Joseph P. Henry, with whom she shared over 50 years of marriage.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Ignacy & Stefania (Meler) Rakoc
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Henry had a successful career as an interior designer and her work was featured in several national publications.
She is lovingly survived by her daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Michael Ladd, her son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan & Elizabeth Henry, all of Danvers, three grandchildren, Jonathan, Justin and Jaclyn, a sister-in-law, Regina Rakoc, a cousin. Melaine Czupryna, nieces, Donna Waldroup, Beth Rakoc, and nephew Jack Rakoc. She was the sister of the late Edmund Rakoc and Eugene Rakoc.
There will be a visitation on Saturday, April 25, 2009 from 9 am to 10:30 am at the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, to be followed by a memorial Mass at 11 am at the St. Thomas The Apostle Church, Salem. Committal services will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
