Jean F. Carlson-Pietraszek
CARLSON-PIETRASZEK, Jean E. Died Sunday, January 18, 2009 at her home in Dedham, MA after a courageous battle with melanoma. She was 40 years old. Jean was the beloved wife of Jennifer J. Carlson-Pietraszek and the cherished daughter of Thomas F. and Catherine E. Pietraszek of Portsmouth, RI and New Milford, CT. She was the devoted mother of Zoe aged 5 and Lucy aged 4. Her two brothers, Michael, of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, and Steven, of Newport, RI, and her grandmother, Catherine T. Ellis of Somerset, MA, also survive her. Jean was a graduate of Bishop Connolly High School in Fall River, MA, and Vassar College. After earning a masters degree from the University of Hawaii she taught science at the Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, NY. She then earned her law degree from Boston University and worked as a corporate attorney for Bingham Dana in Boston before joyfully devoting her efforts to being a stay-at-home mom to Zoe and Lucy. All are invited to a memorial service for Jean at the First Church and Parish, 670 High Street in Dedham at 11 A.M. on Saturday, January 24, 2009.
