Madeline V. Mello, of Londonderry, NH, formerly of Lawrence, MA, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2009. Born in Salem, NH on November 28, 1929, she was a daughter of the late William and Alice (Oulette) Gosselin. Mrs. Mello, a sweet, loving individual was a member of Londonderry Senior Center and the Red Hatters and she enjoyed shopping and adored small dogs.
Surviving include her granddaughter, Lynn Mello-Dilorenzo of Londonderry, with whom she lived; her great-granddaughter Krystal Mello; her step-children, Ralph Cassell, Nancy Cassell, Marie Duffy, Kathy Balenger and Stephen Mello; a special cousin Lucille Martin of Salem, NH; as well as several other grand-children, cousins, neices and nephews. Mrs. Mello was predeceased by her first husband, Ralph Cassell and her second husband, Louis Mello, as well as Louise Champon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 118 S. Broadway, Lawrence, MA on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, One Bedford Farms Drive, Suite 105, Bedford, NH 03110. Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH is handling the arrangements.
