Eleanore A. (Bertolon) Costa of Norwood, a former longtime resident of Needham, died on Monday, January 19, 2009 at Caritas Norwood Hospital. She was 86 years old. Mrs. Costa lived in Needham for many years and for the last 3 years she lived in Norwood. Mrs. Costa worked as a Fund Manager of Teamsters Joint Council #10 Health Services & Insurance Plan and was a member of Teamsters Local #25 & #122. The beloved wife of the late Antonio F. Costa, she was the mother of Marcia Costa Lieberman of Norwood and Anthony Costa of Mendon. Eleanore was the daughter of the late Adele (Bertocchi) and Celio E. Bertolon and the sister of Lorraine T. (Bertolon) Murphy of Winthrop. Sister in law of the late Mrs. Flora Costa, Mrs. Margaret Costa and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Mattivello. Aunt of several nieces and nephews and dear friend of Marion Petrillo of Quincy. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Thursday Jan. 22nd at 8:30 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bartholomew Church at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Thursday morning from 8:30 -9:30 AM prior to the funeral mass. Burial at Forest Hill Cemetery in Jamaica Plain.
