MANCHESTER:Lorraine L. Chandonnet, 76, died January 14, 2009 at the Elliot Hospital after a period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on January 22, 1932 the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Fortin) Chandonnet. She was a graduate of Manchester Central High School Class of 1950. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxillary, and a volunteer at Holy Cross Alliance Bingo and also at the Veterans Administration Hospital.
Prior to her retirement she had worked for Seaboard Finance, then for AVCO Financial Services for 35 years.
Members of her family include 2 sisters Juliette Tessier of Manchester and Yvonne J. Cote of Bedford, several nieces and nephews.
IN HER LIFE:She was predeceased by 2 brothers Gerard Chandonnet and Renaud Chandonnet.
There are no calling hours.
SERVICES:A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 24th at 11:30 AM in Sacred Heart Church, So. Main St.. Burial will be in St. Augustin Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
