Janine Colette (Cavilla) Drysdale 54 of Plymouth formerly of Carver passed away Saturday January 17th after a seventeen month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the beloved wife of Clifford E. “Bud” Drysdale Jr.
Janine was born in Boston on January 26, 1954, and was a graduate of Silver Lake High School in 1971. Janine married “Bud” (Clifford E.) Drysdale, Jr. in 1976 in Whitman, and in 1985 Bud and Janine moved to Carver to raise their two children. Janine served as the Assistant Treasurer for the Town of Carver for many years. In 2002, Janine and Bud moved to Southern California and then back to the South Shore in 2007. Janine devoted her life to her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter Colette, relaxing with her cats, and solving crossword puzzles. Janine also enjoyed touring on the back of Bud’s Harley; she had bought him for their anniversary.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her two loving daughters Robin Drysdale of Plymouth, Lindsey Drummey of Tyngsboro and her granddaughter Colette Drummey. She is also survived by her parents Janine and Ed Leonard of Middleboro, her sisters Evelyn Bonanno of Pembroke, Denise Morgan-Berger of Florida, Yvonne Arthur of Pembroke and Emily Woods of Belmont, her brothers Richard Cavilla of Pembroke, Steve Cavilla of California, Chris Cavilla of Florida and the late Robert Cavilla of Marshfield.
Her services will be held Saturday January 24th at 7 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 4-7 PM.
