WOODSTOCK, CT - Victoria R. (Gwizdala) Reich, 93, formerly of South Woodstock, died Saturday, January 17, in Webster Manor. Her husband of 32 years, Michael John Reich, died in 1973.
She leaves a daughter, Joanne V. Santo and her husband Richard of South Grafton, MA; 3 grandchildren, Kimberly Laino and her husband David, and Richard and Nicole Santo; 3 great grandchildren, Jesse, Nicholas and Isabella; 2 sisters, Josephine Urich of East Brookfield, MA and Mary Freelove and her husband Vernon, both of Woodstock; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Michael and Anthony Gwizdala, and by a sister, Nellie Kata.
She was born in Fabyan, the oldest child of Anthony and Joanna (Karnas) Gwizdala and was a lifelong resident of South Woodstock.
Mrs. Reich was an assembler at Line Master Switch Company before she retired in 1980.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church in Webster, MA. She volunteered for several activities in her community.
The funeral will be held Saturday, January 24, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church, 68 Lake St., Webster. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Dudley. A calling period will be from 9:00 to 10:30 AM Saturday, January 24, in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
