Pauline B. (Dumoracki) Tuholski died peacefully Fri. Jan. 16 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Med. Ctr. She was age 84. Pauline was born in Brockton and was a graduate of Brockton High School and the Williams Business School. She worked as a book keeper for the Albert G. Smith Ins. Co. before she began to raise her family. After her children were grown, Pauline returned to work at Bridgewater MCI as a book keeper. She retired in the early 90's. Pauline was a devoted Catholic all her life. She was a member of the Our Lady of Ostrobrama Polish Church in Brockton and was a member of their Women's Guild and Choir, and she also was a Sunday School Teacher. Pauline and her husband of 51 years Edmund met and were married in this church. Pauline was a devoted wife and mother who loved to grow African Violets and Roses. She and Edmund hand braided rugs for their home during their favorite Saturday night shows; Lawrence Welk and the Jackie Gleason Show. In their later years they traveled the US to attend commemorative gatherings of Edmunds WWII 3rd Div. Signal Group. On a trip to the National Cemetery in Nettuno Italy for a 50th anniversary of the end of WWII they met the former President Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary. Pauline was the beloved wife of the late Edmund J. Tuholski, Sr. Loving mother of Margaret A. Pierce and her husband Dennis of TN, and Edmund J. (Ed) Tuholski Jr. of Taunton. Beloved grandmother of Ben, Katie, and Dana all of TN. Sister of Leocadia (Lottie) Mahoney of Falmouth and Ret. USN Rear Admiral Fred Bakutis of HI and the late Edward Bakutis and Walter Bakutis. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews and her special friends the Tripoley Girls. Funeral from the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rt.18) Bridgewater on Thurs. Jan 22 at 8:00 am. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Bridgewater. Interment St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery. Visiting hours Wed. from 3-7pm.
