TAUNTON – Gayle R. (Simon) Sweeney, the wife of Kevin P. Sweeney, died at Morton Hospital on Jan. 17, 2008, following a lengthy illness.
She was 44.
Born in Stoughton, she was the daughter of Barry Simon of Stoughton and the late Sonya (Land) Simon.
Educated in the Stoughton school system, she later worked as a phlebotomist for Carney Hospital in Dorchester.
Besides her husband and father, she leaves her children, Brian and Kayla Sweeney, both of Taunton; her grandfather, Joseph Land of Stoughton; 2 brothers, Scott Simon of Taunton and Matthew Simon of Stoughton; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation will take place at Woodlawn Crematory, Attleboro.
A memorial visitation will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Thursday, Jan. 22nd, from 1 to 3 p.m.
