Mildred M. Cultrera, 81, of Medford, died Friday in the Brigham And Women's Hospital Boston, after a brief illness
A lifelong Medford resident and member of Medford High School class of 1939, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and the late Mary (Dondero) Leverone.
Mildred was dedicated to her family and did everything for them. She had a special devotion to her grandchildren and great grandchild who knew her affectionately as “granma”. In addition, Mildred enjoyed bowling, travel, gardening and reading.
She was the beloved wife of the late Sebastian “Sam” Cultrera. She was the devoted mother of Stephen and his wife Ann, Donald and his wife Jane all of Medford, Linda and her husband Charles Artz III of Bradford, Larry and his wife Denise of Saugus, Rick and his wife Dianne of Revere. She was a loving granma to Andrea, Katie, Laura, Christopher, Michael, and Alexander Cultrera, Charles Artz, IV and great granma to Miles Yakura. She was sister of Eleanor Sullivan of Revere and the late Andrew and Fred Leverone. Sister in law of Isabelle Leverone of Randolph and Rosalie DelVecchio of Peabody. Also a beloved aunt and neighbor.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Sunday 2 thru 6.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
