Obituary

June R. Beal, 67, of Londonderry, NH, died Saturday, January 17, 2009 in her home. Miss Beal was born in Plymouth, NH on July 30, 1941, a daughter of Minerva (Gallagher) Beal and the late Earl W. Beal, and was a resident of Londonderry since 1965. She was a graduate of the Aroostook Central Institute in Mars Hill, ME, and later received her Masters in Christian Education/Counseling from Columbia International University. Miss Beal was employed as a teacher for the Boylston Home for Girls in Manchester, NH where she also served as an Interim Director. She was also a part time substitute school nurse and Spanish teacher in Derry, Londonderry and Candia, NH, as well as a health and Spanish teacher for Calvary Christian School in Derry. Miss Beal also served in Bolivia, S.A. as a missionary, and served as the State Director for Child Evangelism Fellowship in Maine.
In addition to her mother of Londonderry; she is survived by three brothers, Rev. David Beal of Spruce Head, ME, Rev. John Beal, and Paul Beal both of Londonderry; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours were held on Tuesday, January 20th from 5 – 8pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 11:00am in funeral home. The burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Londonderry in the spring.
