Ruth L. (Tibbetts) Lawrence, 79 of Franklin died January 15 in Sun bridge of Milford. She was the wife of the late Arthur Lawrence who died in 1984.
Born in Franklin, December 27, 1929, the daughter of the late Frederick and Melvina (Morse) Tibbetts, Mrs. Lawrence was a lifelong Franklin resident.
Mrs. Lawrence had been a teller at the Ben Franklin Savings Bank in Franklin for 20 years before retiring.
She had also worked as a waitress at many area restaurants.
Mrs. Lawrence enjoyed trips to Foxwoods, and bus tours around New England.
She is survived by her children, Barbara A. Holt and her fiance Paul McGlynn of Taunton, Susan M. Thibeau and her husband, Wallace of Franklin and Candace Leeseberg of Franklin.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Heather, Kristin, Sean, Edward and Francis and great-grandchildren, Charlene, Samantha and Brianna.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, January 19 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin at 8:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 9:00 a.m.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Charity of One’s Choice.
