Devoted father of Stephen R. Blakeney and his wife Linda of Hollis, NH, Cynthia Pijewski of Ayer. Grandfather of Ian, Brett, Robert and James. Brother of Jean King of Concord and the late Lois, John, Joseph and Dorothy Blakeney. Stepfather of Robin Schmidlein of Jamaica Plain, John Schmidlein of Waltham, Susan Brill of Newton, Richard Schmidlein of Norfolk, Kenneth of Marlboro, Kevin of Mt. Vernon NH, James Schmidlein of Waltham. Also survived by 16 step grandchildren and 1 great step grandson.

Late retired partner of Blakeney and Blakeney, Attorney at Law of Boston. Graduate of Boston College Class of 1949. Boston College Law School Class of 1952. US Army Air Corp, WWII, POW. Shot down over Italy survived crash landing taken prisoner and escaped prison camp. Daily communicant and usher St. Bartholomew's Church.
