Daniel L. Doyle, 65, of Fairhaven died May 16, 2003 at home after a long illness.
He was the husband of Anne L. (Ste. Marie) Doyle,and son of the late Daniel and Catherine (Canty) Doyle.
Dan was born in New Bedford and had lived in Fairhaven for most of his life.
He was formerly employed by the Standard-Times as a pressman for over 40 years until his retirement.
Dan was a radio announcer covering high school basketball and football, an Irish Hour and the news.
He was an avid sports fan and played baseball for American Legion Post 1 and Holy Family High School. He later coached for Fairhaven Little League.
Dan served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife; 2 sons, Daniel P. Doyle of Fairhaven, and Timothy E. Doyle, and his girlfriend Jan Thomas, of Marion; 2 daughters, Kathleen A. Doyle, and her fiancé Kelly Botelho, of Fairhaven, and Karen J. Doyle-Bart, and her husband Aaron Bart, of Marion; a stepdaughter, Mary Seander, and her husband Michael, of Cranston, RI; a brother, Patrick J. Doyle, and his wife Jeannette, of Fairhaven; 9 grandchildren, Nicholas, Riley, Cassidy, Derek, Cory, Josh, Taylor, Marisa and Michael; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
