Thérèse G. (Duval) Gingras, 81, of Mattapoisett, died January 2, 2002 at Blaire House in New Bedford after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Osmond A. Gingras and daughter of the late David and Amelia (Rioux) Duval.
Mrs. Gingras was born in Swanton, VT and lived in Mattapoisett most of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church in Mattapoisett.
Mrs. Gingras attended Swain School of Design in New Bedford. She was a dressmaker at home making numerous alterations and wedding dresses.
She was an avid gardener and enjoyed her cats.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Jeanne Levinson of Jackson Heights, NY, Marianne Gingras of Mattapoisett and Dianne Gingras of New York City; a sister, Blanche Bourrassa of New Bedford; a granddaughter, Eva Levinson of Brooklyn, NY; several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Armond Duval, Maurice Duval, Rudolph Duval, George Duval and Lorenzo "Buzzo" Duval.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett, Saturday, January 5th at 9 AM.Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Church at 10.Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
