Obituary

Laconia-Pauline Florence Richard, 87, of 30 County Drive, formerly of 16 Charlevoix Place died Tuesday morning, January 13, 2009 at Belknap County Nursing Home after a brief illness.

Pauline was born in Laconia on July 23, 1921 the daughter of the late Omer and Angelina (LeClerc) Richard. She had been a lifelong resident of Laconia.

Prior to her retirement, Pauline was employed by the New Hampshire State Liquor Commission in Concord as a file clerk. She had also worked for Melcher & Prescott Insurance Agency as a clerk.

Pauline was a former member of the Laconia Lodge of Elks #876 Emblem Club, and a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Laconia. She was a bowler, loved playing the organ, and was an avid dancer.

Besides her parents, Pauline was predeceased by her brother, Normand “Bud” Richard in 2008.

Pauline is survived by her sister-in-law, Phyllis Richard of Laconia; her niece, Susan C. DeLemus and husband Jerry of Rochester; her cousins, Julian Richards and his wife Paula of Laconia, Roger and Theresa Gagne of Gilford, and Gloria Krukonis and her husband Norm of Hampton. Many other cousins, family members, and dear friends also survive Pauline

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia. Reverend Gary J. Kosmowski pastor of the church was the celebrant. There were no visiting hours. Spring burial will be in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street.
