Mrs. Jacqueline N. (Valcourt) (Riopelle) Slager, 82, of Lawrence, Ma., formerly of Methuen, Ma., passed away on Saturday, January 10th, 2009 at the Mary Immaculate Restorative Nursing Center in Lawrence, MA.
She was born in Lawrence, Mass. to the late Pierre and Clara (Michaud) Valcourt. Mrs. Slager was educated in the local schools of Lawrence and was a parishioner of Saint Theresa Church in Methuen, MA. She was a very caring and nurturing Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, caring for her family was her calling. Jacqueline's biggest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family. Mrs. Slager also enjoyed a good card game of 45's.

As well as 11 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister to the late: Gerard, Leo and Russell Valcourt and Anne Marie Birch.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 14th, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Monica's Church in Methuen, MA.
Burial will take place at a later date in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover, MA.
