Thomas Earl Rutherford, 69, Clarksville, died Sunday, January 11, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 2 :00 PM Thursday at Pryor Funeral Home, Calhoun City, MS. Burial will be in New Gauley Cemetery in Calhoun City. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday at Pryor Funeral Home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born June 6, 1939 in Tippah County, MS son of the late Cecil Rutherford and Lillian Cantrell Rutherford. Mr. Rutherford was a US Navy Veteran and served two tours in Vietnam. He was a self employed business man. Survivors include two sons, Richard Rutherford and Jon Nicholas Rutherford; a daughter, LaShawn Rutherford; a step-daughter, Dawn Couch; three brothers, James, Jerry, and Carl Rutherford, and a sister, Norma Rutherford.
