Antoinette (D’Angelico) Giordano of Medford, died Monday at the Courtyard Nursing Care Center, Medford. She was 90.
Born and raised in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Carl and the late Emma (Malchionda) D´Angelico. Mrs Giordano was a Medford resident for more than 50 years.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Antoinette enjoyed her home and the company of family and friends. She was talented at knitting and sewing. She was also a great cook. This translated easily into her dedication to her family’s business, Giordano’s Restaurant.Since 1943, when she joined her late husband, Wilfred, Mrs. Giordano helped operate their landmark eatery now operated by their children. Summer after summer Antoinette greeted customers and welcomed families at the clam bar.
She is survived by her daughter: Mary Ann Polito of Revere, two sons: Wilfred “Buster” Giordano, Jr. and his wife Valarie of Danvers; Richard Giordano and his wife Nancy of Martha's Vinyard. She also leaves 8 loving grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 am at Sacred Heart Church, 55 Winthrop Street, Medford.
Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
Friends may visit Thursday from 4 thru 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
