Gregario S. Mello, age 80, of Dighton passed away in Fall River January 11, 2009. He was widower of Lucienne (Bergeron) Mello, dear friend and companion of Lea Viveiros and son of the late Manuel S. & Georgianna (Costa Leite) Mello. He was a retired nursing assistant at the Brockton VA Medical Center, a Dighton resident for 17 years, a Korean Era US Army veteran and a parishioner of St. Patrick Church.
He is survived by his dear friend and companion of Dighton and 2 siblings: Richard S. Mello of Fall River and Mary Bennett of Dighton and several nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Manuel, Joseph, John, Frank and Alfred Mello.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Friday at 9:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick Church, S. Street, Somerset at 11 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours Thursday 4-8 P.M.
