SMITH, SUSIE DANIELS
Susie Daniels Smith, 84, of Ladson, widow of John E. Daniels, Sr. and Joseph E. Smith, Sr., died Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Trident Medical Center.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 2 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, 303 S. Main Street, Summerville. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening from 6 to 8 o’clock.
Mrs. Smith was born August 9, 1924 in Summerville, SC daughter of the late Gordon Wesley Winter and Susie Catherine Grooms Winter. She was a homemaker and was a member of Lydia Baptist Church, Summerville.

Survivors include: three daughters; Sherry A. Tucker (William) of Summerville, Susie E. Thrower (Henry) of Summerville and Joyce E. King (Clyde) of Summerville, twelve grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren; one sister; Virginia Gouin (Raymond) of Gulfport, MS, and two brothers; Thomas Winter (BJ) of California and William Winter (JoEllen) of Cottageville. She was predeceased by her son; John E. Daniels, Jr.
