Albert W. Hamlen of Bridgewater age 93 died Saturday January 10, 2009 in the Life Care Center of West Bridgewater. Albert was born raised and educated in Bridgewater son of the late Annie (Tribou) and Levi A. Hamlen. He was the owner of Hamlen's Market on Broad Street in Bridgewater over 20 years, drove taxie for Bill's Taxie and was the sealer of weights and measures in Bridgewater. Mr. Hamlen was an active member, Deacon Emiritus and a Trustee of the 1st Baptist Church of Bridgewater, a proud WWII army Veteran and member of the Bridgewater American Legion. He was thr loving husband of Elizabeth H. (Calder) Hamlen of Bridgewater. Father of Helen L. Hudson of FL, Sharon A. Hamlen of Westport, Jerry W. Hamlen and David W. Hamlen both of Bridgewater. Brother of Raymond Hamlen of ME and the late Clifton, Lester, Wilfred, Richard, Leonea, Mary, Ruth and Elizabeth. He was the proud grandfather of several Step Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews.
