LOWELL—Kathleen M. Finnegan, 102 years old died Wednesday morning, May 14th, at the Wentworth Nursing Care Center.
She was born in Lowell, on April 4, 1901, a daughter of the late Timothy and Maria (Davis) Finnegan.
Miss Finnegan worked as a Legal Secretary for a Devonshire Street Law Firm, in Boston from 1923 until 1950. She returned to Lowell and worked as a Teacher from 1950 until her retirement in 1972 at the McAvinnue Grammar School. She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church.
Surviving her are three nephews: Atty. Cornelius T. Finnegan, Jr., of Lowell; Robert Finnegan, of Hampton, NH; and Paul Finnegan, of Lowell; a niece: Patricia Finnegan Morais, of Rye Beach, NH; also numerous grandnieces and grandnephews. She is also survived by three close cousins: Thomas E. Lane, Jr., of Lowell; Patricia Lane Hare, of St. Charles, MO; and David C. Lane, of Chelmsford.
She was the sister of the late Frederick J. Finnegan, Cornelius T. Finnegan, Sr., Daniel Finnegan and Mary ‘Molly’ Finnegan.
At her request there will be no calling hours. Funeral Saturday morning, May 17th, at 9:30 AM from the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). Her Funeral Mass to be offered at 10:30 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
