Obituary

LOWELL—Dorothy (Quinn) Watson, 75 years old died late Monday evening, May 12th, at the D’Youville Manor Senior Care Center, in Lowell. She was the wife of Lawrence W. Watson, Sr., who survives her.

She was born in Lowell, on May 1, 1928, a daughter of the late John H. and Anna (Mullin) Quinn, and was a graduate of Lowell High School and Lowell Commercial College.

Mrs. Watson was a Secretary and had been employed by Colonial Gas Company, on Lowell for over 30 years. She also worked for Pitney-Bowes, Inc., for several years.

She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church and held membership in the Holy Rosary Sodality of that parish. She was a soloist and member of the Immaculate Conception Church Choir, the League of Catholic Women, and a longtime member of Mount Pleasant Golf Club. She had also served on the Board of Directors of the former St. John’s Nursing Home.

Surviving her besides her husband are a son and daughter-in-law: Lawrence W. Watson, Jr., and his wife Kelly, of Hampton, NH; a daughter and son-in-law: Judith and Robert Chester, of Manville, NJ; five grandchildren: Kelly A. Watson, Lawrence W. Watson, III, Christopher S. Chester, Cynthia M. Chester and Abigayle P. Watson; two brothers: Raymond J. Quinn, of Gilford, NH; and John H. Quinn, Jr., of Lowell.

At her request, there will be no calling hours. All services will be private. Burial took place in St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury.
