SALIERNO, Aurelio L. age 87 of Palisades Park, NJ formerly of Mt. Vernon and Bronx, NY died Wednesday January 7, 2009. Beloved husband the late (July 19, 1994) Constance (nee: Di Spaltro). Devoted father of Carmine Aurelio and wife Barbara, Geraldine Springate and husband Robert. Dear brother of Annuziata Tedesco and Maria Fuschetto. Loving grandfather of Michele Kalthoff, Dawnmarie Mc Dermid, Kara Krieger, Mark Salierno. Cherished great grandfather of Jayde, Camryn and Logan Mc Dermid, Lauren Krieger, Emma Kalthoff, Carter and Aiden “A-J” James Salierno. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Aurelio learned his craft as a cabinet maker in Italy. He was later honored in producing all the solid wood chairs for the United States Senate in Washington, DC. Additionally, he designed, crafted and installed the round table at the United Nations Security Council in NYC. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Volk Leber Funeral Home 789 Teaneck Rd. Teaneck, NJ. Funeral service from Volk Leber on Monday at 9AM then to St. Nicholas RCC – Palisades Park, NJ for a Mass of Christian burial at 10AM. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, NY.
