Harold Jacob Carter, 91, Clarksville, died Thursday, January 8, 2009, at Grace Healthcare Center. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at William H. Craig Funeral Home, McKeesport, PA. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery, Monroeville, PA. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at William H. Craig Funeral Home. He was born September 15, 1917 in McKeesport, PA son of the late George Carter and Anna Katherine Helmsteadter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sadie Semler Carter. He was retired from the Port of Authority in Pennsylvania.He was a member of the Highland Grove United Methodist Church in McKeesport, PA. Survivors include his daughter, Dianne Fritschler (Bill), Clarksville, TN; a sister, Elizabeth Carter, Monroeville, PA; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
