Frank Sawejko, age 86 of Swansea. Husband of Lorraine (Dougherty)Sawejko and the late Mary (Pruchinik) Sawejko. Son of the late Karl & Sophie Sawejko. Passed away in Fall River, January 7, 2009. Born in Scranton, PA, he was Swansea resident since 1961, previously of Fall River. He was a member of St. Louis De France Church and a retired electrical sub foreman at Montaup Electric for 28 years; previously, he was a machinist at the former Dover Stamping Co. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WW II.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 4 sons: Carl & Jeffrey Sawejko both of Swansea, John Amarantes of Somerset and Michael Amarantes of Freetown; 1 sister: Jean Hodoroski of Bridgeport, CT; 5 grandchildren: Emma, Jack & Chelsea Amarantes and Ryan & Casey Pelletier and several nieces & nephews. He was brother of the late Stanley & John Sawejko and Frances Evanetski.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. Saturday at 8 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Louis De France Church at 9 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 4-8 P.M.
