Helen W. Chin, 85 of Medford died Tuesday in Cambridge, the result of a traffic accident. She was the wife of the late Richard Chin.
Mrs. Chin was born in Fall River, daughter of the late George and Shee (Woo) Der. She attended local schools. In earlier years she worked as a Postal Agent, in the Post Office.
She loved to dance and listen to music from the 40’s. She was well known for her community service to the Chinatown residents, She was also active in the Medford senior citizens group.
She leaves two sons, Davie Chin and his wife Kam of Boston, Wayne Chin and his wife Sandy of Medford. Loving grandmother of Wendy, Shirley, Stephanie, Kristy & Ryan Chin. Dear sister of Henry Der of Stoneham, Mary Lee of CA. and Jenny Bing-You of Stoneham.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Saturday at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 5 -8. Services will conclude with burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Boston. Contributions in Helen’s name may be sent to the Mystic Valley Elder Services, 300 Commercial Street, Suite 19, Malden, MA 02148.
