RITA GERAGHTY, 85 of Louisville, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Charles J. Geraghty.
She was the devoted Mother to Mary Hass (Ray), Charles Geraghty (Sue), Pat Simmon (Tony), Joseph Geraghty (Debbie), William Geraghty, Alice Leon (Michael), Debbie Spalding (Gary), David Geraghty, Denis Geraghty, Rita Roarx (Danny), Theresa Toohey, Monica Geraghty (Mike), and Mark Geraghty. Also survived by 22 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Marie Miller, Catherine Kruer, Marcella Weikel, Irene Miller, and Dolores Popp; and sisters-in-law, Doris Geraghty and Mary Ann Geraghty.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 1925 Lewiston Drive with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be from 1 - 9 p.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
Memorial gifts may be made to Hosparus or Brain Injury Assoc. of Kentucky.
