LAWRENCE – Elizabeth G. (Pothier) Sicard age 88 died Tuesday January 6, 2009 at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Methuen, MA.
Born and educated in Lawrence, MA and lifelong resident she was daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Maxwell) Pothier and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. For many years she was employed at Bolta/General Tire in Lawrence. She was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/St. Theresa’s Church in Methuen, member of the Catholic Daughters and Rainbow Club.
According to her family she enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, baking and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She leaves her husband of 60 years Leo E. Sicard of Lawrence, MA.
Sons Richard L. and his wife Jo Anne Sicard of The Villages, Florida and Alan J. and his wife Ellen L. Sicard of Lawrence, MA.
Daughter Susan E. Fink and her husband Edward C. also of Lawrence.
13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the ST. Vincent de Paul Society at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish 22 Plymouth St. Methuen, MA 01844. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/St. Theresa’s Church in Methuen with burial to follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
