Obituary

Worcester- Aime H. Gamache, 96, of 203 Cohasset Street, and Pompano Beach, Florida, died Tuesday, May 13, in UMass-Memorial Medical Center- University Campus.

His wife, Rose (Durand) Gamache, died in 1995. His first wife, Christina (Brewer) Gamache, died in 1945. He leaves two daughters, Janice M. Manzello, with whom he lived, and Janet A. Collette of Millbury; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A daughter, Arlene C. Parker, predeceased him. A step-son, Daniel Brewer, died in World War II. Three brothers, Albert, Maurice, and Rudolph Gamache, and a sister, Irene Bilodeau, predeceased him. He was born in Waterbury, Connecticut, son of Xavier and Mary (King) Gamache. He lived in Millbury and Worcester for many years, before moving to Florida in 1961.

Mr. Gamache was an auto body painter at George Motors in Worcester for 25 years. After moving to Florida, he worked at Merritt's Marina in Pompano Beach, until retiring.

He was a member of St. Elizabeth Church in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pompano Beach, Florida. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Anthony Manzello Scholarship Fund, Holy Name High School, 144 Granite Street, Worcester, MA 01604.
