Obituary

Worcester- Catherine M. (Maleskas) Sullivan, 71, formerly of 69 Fox Street, died Monday, May 12, on her birthday, in Peninsula Regional Hospital, Salisbury, Maryland, after an illness.

She leaves her husband, Daniel F. Sullivan; three sons, Michael C. Abraham, Thomas M. Abraham, and Dennis F. Sullivan, all of Worcester; four daughters, Elizabeth A. Abraham of Worcester, Mary A. Parker of Salisbury, Maryland, Carol A. Abraham of Worcester, and Donna A. Wood of Worcester; a brother, Vincent A. Maleckas of Shrewsbury; two sisters, Anna S. Leseman of Worceseter, and Eva A. Arrell of Galilee, Rhode Island; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Her first husband, Charles K. Abraham, predeceased her. A brother, Alphonse B. Maleskas and a sister, Angela K. Roy, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Alexander and Catherine F. (Sakalauskas) Maleskas. She graduated from Worcester Girls Trade School and attended Clark University. She lived in Worcester until moving to Salisbury, Maryland in March.

Mrs. Sullivan was a director at Worcester Community Action Council before retiring.

She attended Ascension Parish, and was a former member of St. Casimir Parish.

The funeral will be held Friday, May 16, from Dirsa-Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton Street, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 15, in the funeral home.
