Obituary

WORCESTER
Richard K. “Ricky” McTigue, 57, of Worcester died Mon., Jan.5 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center.
He leaves a sister, Kathleen F. and her husband Ray Gervais of Worcester; two brothers, Frank “Bud” and his wife, Denise McTigue of Worcester and Arthur P. and his wife Pat McTigue of Las Vegas, NV ; nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was born in Worcester, son of Francis J. McTigue, Jr. and Helen R. (Denesha) McTigue and graduated from St. Peter’s High School and Clark University.
Ricky was a social worker for the Worcester County Jail and was a co-owner of the former Gilrain’s Steak House with one of his best friends, Tom Incatto. He also managed several Restaurants and Bars in Worcester, over the years. He was also one of the First to bring Blues to Worcester.
The funeral will be held Friday, Jan. 9, from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 11 AM in St. John’s Church, 40 Temple St. Burial will be private. Visiting Hours are Thursday, Jan. 8, from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to UMASS Medical School, 55 Lake Ave. North, Worcester, 01655.
