Redden, Dr. James Erskine, 80, of Louisville died on January 2, 2009 at Audubon Hospital.
He was a retired college professor at Alcorn State University and Southern Illinois University. He was a member of Highland Community Church and Lions Club.
He is proceded in death by his son Barry Howard Redden and brother Carlton Redden.
He is survived by daughters Deborah Ann Vogel (Dr. Robert), Virginia Faye Davis (James); sons David Edward Redden (Carla), Nathan Albert Redden (Roxanna), Alexander Clyde Redden (Mary); sisters Iris Mae Miller and Joyce Ann Addams; brother Leroy Redden; eight grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral Service will be noon Monday January 5 at Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road.
Burial will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens-West.
Visitation will be from 2-7 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
