OXFORD - Albert R. Croteau Sr., 76, of 40 Rocky Hill Road and formerly of Charlton died Monday, May 12 at home after an illness.
His wife Mary C. (Petty) Croteau died in 1986. He leaves four sons Albert R. Croteau Jr. of Buffalo, NY, Raymond Croteau of Auburn, James and Robert Croteau both of Oxford; two daughters Ann Marie Stone and Rose Marie Croteau both of Oxford; three sisters Helen LaPrade of Worcester, Betty Hicks of Auburn and Jean Nichter of Auburn; 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Ronald K. Croteau. He was born in Auburn son of Albert A. and Agda (Hallberg) Croteau.
Mr. Croteau was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II.
He was a truck driver for A. David and Sons Transportation, Inc. retiring many years ago.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 14 at 7 PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond Street, Worcester. A private burial will be held on Thursday, May 15 in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Wednesday, May 14 from 5 to 7 PM in the funeral home.
