TAUNTON – Evelyn L. (Mattos) Medeiros, wife of the late Frank A. Medeiros, died at Morton Hospital on Jan. 3, 2008.
She was 96.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Mary “May” (Martin) Mattos.
A longtime Taunton resident, she graduated from Taunton High School in 1930.
Mrs. Medeiros was a homemaker for much of her adult life, though she worked briefly for the former Taunton Flower Shop, many years ago.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony Church.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, on Saturday, Jan. 10th at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 9 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
