Kenneth R. Rose, age 41, an independent cable company owner, died unexpectedly at the Nashoba-Deaconess Hospital in Ayer, after suffering an apparent heart attack at his Pepperell home, early Saturday morning, May 10th. He was the husband of Paula (Waite) Rose, with whom he would have celebrated an 11th wedding anniversary on June 20th.He was born in Woburn, July 20, 1961, beloved of Mary F. (Turner) Rose of No. Ft. Myers, Fla. and the late George W. Rose Sr., who died in 1988. He was raised in Medford and attended Medford High School. He lived in Medford until moving to Pepperell two years ago. In his earlier years, he was active in various youth sports leagues. He was a communicant of both St. Joseph’s Church in Medford, and the Immaculate Conception Church in Malden. He was gifted with a mechanical inclination and became a ‘tinkerer.’ In his recent years, he enjoyed his Harley Davidson motorcycle.He founded and operated the Rose Cable Company. His life was about spending time with his family and friends, and playing hard with his sons. His siblings said of him: “To know him was to love him, and will be sorely missed by all who benefited from his helpful nature.”Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Kenneth Rose and Brandon Rose of Pepperell, one daughter, Crystal Rose of Lowell, a grandson, Jayden A., six sisters and their spouses, Maureen F. Rose of Derry, NH, Sharon and her husband Walter Thornton of Holliston, MA, Carol L. Rose-Camelio and her husband Alexander Camelio of Lexington, Marilyn B. Rose and her dear friend Tammy Hayton of Cape Coral Fla., Donna M. Geary and her husband Robert of Medford, Judith A. DiRusso and her husband John of Tewksbury, one brother Charles J. and his wife Nancy (O’Hearn) Rose of Billerica, his mother-in-law Joan (Nies) Waite of Waltham, and many nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late George W. Rose Jr., who died in 1980, and son-in-law of the late Paul Waite.His funeral is Wednesday, May 14, at 10:00 a.m. from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Ave. Medford, MA followed by a Funeral Mass Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 114 High St. Medford. Visiting hours Monday 5 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
