Carol A. (St. Jean) Rose, 51, of Acushnet died December 26, 2008 at home after a brief courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Frankfurt, Germany, the daughter of Eugene A. and Lillian V. (Dupont) St. Jean of Acushnet, she lived in New Bedford and Acushnet most of her life.
She was employed by Acushnet Company for 10 years until her illness.
Survivors include her parents; 2 daughters, Rebecca Rose and her companion Luis Acevedo and Michele Wilson, all of New Bedford; 2 brothers, Paul St. Jean and his wife Noreen of Springhill, FL and John St. Jean and his companion MaryBeth Sylvia of New Bedford; a sister, Linda St. Jean of New Bedford; a brother-in-law, Edward Hatfield of Omar, WV; her best friend and caregiver Frances Fortes; 5 grandchildren, Shai, Luz, Luis Jr., Karina and Niyomie; several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Theresa Hatfield.
Her private funeral service was Saturday, January 3rd in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
