Obituary

DERRY, NH - Lew William "Gillsy" Gill, 61, a resident of Derry, NH, died unexpectedly Thursday January 1st at his home.

He was born in Phoenix, AZ on March 18, 1947, and he was a son of Wanda E. (Adams) Kwiatkowski of Dracut and the late Peter J. Kwiatkowski. He received his education in Lowell schools.

Mr. Gill served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he served two Tours of Duty.

He was employed for many years as a mechanical design consultant by several local businesses.

In his free time he enjoyed fishing, reading, motorcycles, and debating current events.

He was a member of the Polish American Veterans in Lowell.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by three children, Scott Gill and his wife Debra of Wake Forest, NC, Cherene Morrissey and her husband Richard of Merrimack, NH, and Billy McCauley; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Gill, Jessica Gill, Heather Selck, and Sean Morrissey; a brother, Peter Thomas of East Windsor, NJ; two sisters, Diane Kaye, and Lauren Kwiatkowski, both of Dracut; his former wife Gayle Kennedy of Merrimack, NH; two dear friends, Dawn Smith of Derry, NH, and Ron Dubreuil of NH; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Sunday from 1 until 3 PM, followed by his Memorial Service at 3 PM at the funeral home. Cremation by Linwood Crematory in Haverhill.
