Connie Hart, 85, Groton, passed away at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital on January 2, 2009.
Mrs. Hart was born in New York and lived in Southeastern Connecticut for over 40 years. A former resident of Academy Point, Mystic, and Fellowship Manor, Groton, she previously resided in Noank, Ledyard, Norwich and Uncasville.
She was predeceased by her husband of 29 years, Charles Hart. Surviving are two sons, Richard Hart and his wife Claudia of Marietta, GA, and Robert Hart and his wife Linda of Freehold, NJ; one daughter, Jeanne Chrimes and her husband Richard of Niantic; 8 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She formerly worked at Connecticut College, Ledyard Town Hall, and for Doctor Colletti and Dr. Sculco. After retiring, she volunteered as an usher at Harkness Memorial Park and Garde State Arts Center, as a Red Cross volunteer at the Sub Base Medical Center Pharmacy, and as an AARP Tours and Trip Organizer. She was a member of the Groton Senior Citizen Center and loved to dance.
Her family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mysitc on Monday from 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church, Groton on Tuesday at 10am. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Montville.
