Mrs. Rose M. (Annaloro) Giliberti, age 88, died Thursday morning, January 1, 2009, in the Lahey Clinic Medical Center of Burlington, after a brief illness. Born in Boston, Rose was the beloved daughter of the late Maria (Toscano) & Guiseppe Annaloro.
Rose lived in Woburn for the last 40 years, formerly of Medford & Boston. She was raised in Boston and attended Boston schools, graduating from South Boston High School. Later she moved to Medford where she met and married her late husband Peter. She worked as a seamstress early in life and owned a small tailoring shop in the 1940's and 1950's in Medford.
Later she worked for a bookbinding business as a secretary, but mostly she loved being at home for her loving daughter Barbara.
Rose loved to entertain family and friends. She was a very kind and sociable person and loved to go dancing. She also contributed greatly to the New England Hemophilia Association, American Heart Association and the American Parkinson’s Disease Associations.
In addition to her late husband Peter A. Giliberti, Rose is survived by her loving daughter Barbara Autenzio and her husband Al of Woburn. Sister of Mary Chasse of Derry, NH, Aida Leone and her husband Philip, Joan Landrum, and Helen Lewis all of California, the late Mildred Valiquette, Jean Annaloro, and Ernest Annaloro. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. WOBURN, Monday at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd. Woburn at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
