Obituary

WEBSTER - Peter L. Murzycki, 72, of Emerald Avenue, died Wednesday, December 31, at his home surrounded by his family.

He leaves 4 sons, Peter B. Murzycki of Charlton, Brian L. Murzycki and his wife Sally of Lisbon, CT, David P. Murzycki of Webster, and Sean P. Murzycki and his wife Regina of Deltona, FL; 3 daughters, Patricia I. Mason and her husband Donald of Charlton, Kelly J. Pepin and her husband Richard of Auburn, and Maureen T. Heath and her husband Robert of Webster; his daughter-in-law, Dorothy Murzycki of Dudley; 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; his former wife, Irene M. (Rannikko) Murzycki of Webster; a brother, Joseph Murzycki and his wife Irma of Bellingham; 3 sisters, Frances Gilmartin and her husband Jack of Worcester, Rose Rekowski of Webster and Nellie DiRoberto of Worcester; many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his son Patrick M. Murzycki in 2002; by 4 brothers, Walter, Edward, John and Louis Murzycki; and by 2 sisters, Stasia Murzycki and Jennie Leo.

He was born and raised in Webster, a son of Roman and Antonia A. (Kalemba) Murzycki and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Bartlett High Trade School.

Mr. Murzycki was a laborer in construction and then was a roller man at Cranston Print Works Company before he retired in 1991.

He was a member of St. Joseph Basilica and the Workers Union Local 243 in Auburn. He was a Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots Fan. He jogged daily.

The funeral will be held Monday, January 5, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in St Joseph Garden of Peace. A calling period will be from 8:30 to l0:00 AM Monday, January 5, in the funeral home.
