Alice F. (Didion) Stanley, of Hull, surrounded by her sister and children, passed away on Christmas Day at South Shore Hospital at age 85. Lifelong resident of Hull, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Florence “Ma” Didion. Wife of the late James Stanley. Devoted mother of Carolyn Wyman and her husband William of Weymouth, Julia Davidson of Hull, Robert Davidson of Hull, Elizabeth Conte of Quincy and James Stanley and his wife Denise of Hull. Sister of Anna Maud Perry and her husband John of Kingston, and the late Robert Didion. Grandmother of William Wyman, Ashley Davidson, Richard, Tina and Christopher Conte, Christian, Marlee, Allison and David Stanley and her beloved Golden Retriever, Seamus. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews and friends. Alice was a huge fan of the Boston Red Sox and never missed a game. She was also an avid Bingo player at the Knights of Columbus in Hull. There will be a service of remembrance for family and friends held at the St. Nicholas United Methodist Church, 130 Spring Street, Hull, MA on January 3 at 11:00 am.
