Obituary

Esther Palumbo (Taylor) of Watertown and formerly of Chelsea died on December 29, 2008 at the Newton and Wellesley Alzheimer Center. She was 87.

Esther was born in Boston and raised in Chelsea where she attended the Chelsea schools and High School. Esther worked as Senior Data Management Officer at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, MA. She represented the Air Force in contract negotiations. Esther devoted her life to caring for her son Allen and was a talented artist.

Esther was the beloved wife of the late Edward A. Rossner & the late Salvatore Palumbo. She was the devoted mother of Kenneth L. Rossner and his wife Camille and the late Paul Allen Rossner. Esther was the loving daughter of the late Joseph Benjamin Taylor and Jennie Taylor. She was the dear sister of Irving Taylor and his wife Leona and the late Selma Mazer and her husband Sydney. She is also survived by her nieces Sandra Schawbel & Cheryl Nadler, and her nephew Richard Taylor.

Graveside services at Sharon Memorial Park, Canton St., Sharon on Wed. Dec. 31 at 11:45 AM. Memorial observance at the home of Cheryl & Richard Nadler following interment. Contributions in Esther’s memory may be made to Newton and Wellesley Alzheimer Center, Resident and Staff Fund, 694 Worcester Street, Wellesley, MA 02482.
