Obituary

Edith (DiLorenzo) Mula 91, died Saturday December 27th. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Mula.

Born and raised in Weymouth she was the daughter of the late Michael and Jennie DiLorenzo and a graduate of Weymouth High. She had been a resident of Whitman since 1972.

Edith’s extensive creative talents expressed themselves in every aspect of her life. As a lifelong avid and passionate gardener she created landscape masterpieces everywhere she lived. Her artistic nature expressed itself in her beautiful oil paintings, her hand painted pottery and her handmade braided rug creations.

She was a talented dancer and in partnership with her late husband Joseph, together they lit up the local dance floors.

She revolved her life around her family, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her loving daughters Janice Leaman of Whitman, Marie Connolly of Rockland, and Joreen Benbenek and her husband Philip J. of Marshfield. She is also survived by four grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She was a sibling to five brothers and five sisters.

Her funeral services will be held Friday January 2nd at 11 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman. Visiting hours will be held Thursday January 1st from 4-6 PM. Donations in her name may be made the Alzheimer’s Assoc. Of Massachusetts 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472
