Daugherty, Howard R., 90, of Louisville passed away Saturday December 27, 2008, at Norton Audubon Hospital.
He was a native of Lebanon Junction, KY, an U. S. Army veteran of WWII, and a retired employee of Ashland Oil. He was a charter member of the former Aldersgate United Methodist Church, and a member of Virginia Avenue United Methodist Church. Howard was the first Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 148, and later became Advisor to Explorer Post 148. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening, and shared his produce with many neighbors and friends. He was a Christian and an outstanding father.
Preceded in death by his wife Vivian.
Survivors include a son, Todd Daugherty (Cathy); grandsons, Scott (Sarah) & Mark (Diane); and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday December 31, 2008 at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 2:00 - 8:00 pm.
