Beverly A. (Perry) Breault, 74, of Dartmouth died December 28, 2008 at Sunrise Assisted Living of Dartmouth after a long illness.
She was the wife of Milton C. Breault.
Born in Dartmouth, the daughter of the late John A. and Elmira (Fontes) Perry.
Mrs. Breault was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Dartmouth.
She was formerly employed as a registered nurse at St. Luke's Hospital for many years until her retirement in 1995. During her time at St. Luke's she served as a faculty member for St. Luke's School of Nursing from 1957 - 1973 and as home health aide supervisor for St. Luke's Home Care from 1989 - 1995. She also taught nursing at Newbury College. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School class of 1947, Burbank Hospital School of Nursing class of 1955 and later received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Education from Newbury College and her Masters Degree in Nursing from the University of Rhode Island.
Mrs. Breault was a member of St. Luke's Retirees Club, St. Mary's Ladies Guild, Crimson Girls of the Red Hat Society and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
She was an avid reader, proficient pianist, enjoyed playing and listening to show tunes, Big Band music, needlepoint, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and traveled extensively.
Mrs. Breault was honored as the Standard-Times Women of the Year in 1995.
Survivors include her husband; 3 sons, David Breault and his wife Deborah and Paul Breault and his wife Diane, all of Dartmouth and Peter Breault and his wife Rebecca of New Bedford; a daughter, Jennifer Breault of Acushnet; a brother, Russell Perry and his wife Brenda of Bennington, VT; a sister, Shirley Cole of Coventry, CT; 4 grandchildren, John, Peter, Danielle and Christopher Breault; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Wednesday, December 31st at 10 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church in Dartmouth at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River. Visiting hours Tuesday, December 30th from 4-7 PM.
